How Levosalbutamol Syrup Uses in Hindi Works
- Levosalbutamol works by acting on the beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the smooth muscle of the airways.
- Levosalbutamol selectively stimulates beta-2 adrenergic receptors located in the bronchial smooth muscle. These receptors are part of the sympathetic nervous system.
- When levosalbutamol binds to beta-2 receptors, it activates the enzyme adenylate cyclase. This enzyme converts adenosine triphosphate (ATP) to cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP).
- The increase in cAMP levels leads to a series of intracellular events that result in the relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle.
- The relaxation of the smooth muscle around the airways causes the airways to widen (bronchodilation). This helps to alleviate symptoms such as wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, and tightness in the chest.
